Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using the University’s current course materials.
Provide each student the opportunity to grow, develop, and achieve academic success by maintaining an engaged classroom presence.
Perform a variety of additional duties, such as coaching, tutoring, and identifying appropriate additional resources, as determined by specific course and or program requirements.
Attend various faculty meetings and University events as required.
Maintain current professional and technical knowledge of content area(s).
Instruct and perform other job-related required duties in an online environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a PhD in Nursing OR
Doctorate degree in any area and a Master’s degree in Nursing OR
Master’s degree in Nursing
Requires an active unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Must have 5 years’ experience in a clinical nursing practice setting in community health and/or public health
Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution
Acceptable professional positions can include but are not limited to: Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and/or Nurse Educator with a focus in Public Health and/or community health
A minimum of 2 years of current applicable experience within the last 5 years
All faculty members must have one record of scholarship annually, within a rolling one-year timeframe, that meets UOPX’s definition of scholarship engagement.
