About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Successfully manage multiple capital projects ($15MM–$150MM+) across full lifecycle (P0–P6)
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction
  • Foster alignment across internal stakeholders and external partners; ensure all parties are aligned on project requirements, scope, and deliverables
  • Drive FEL development and execution readiness (P0-P3)
  • Ensure alignment with mill and business leadership
  • Facilitate project reviews, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communications
  • Oversee detailed design, contractor coordination, outage execution, and startup (P4-P6)
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Manage and control objective and scope changes
  • Deliver projects that meet business case and performance expectations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related)
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 6 years specifically on capital equipment or major construction/capital projects.
  • Experience managing projects over $15million
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering and construction teams
  • Strong knowledge of project management practices within a phase gate process
  • Ability to travel at least 80% to support project development, execution, outages, startups, and mill engagement
