About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide evidence-based couples and relationship therapy using structured modalities such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), or similar approaches.
- Assess and treat relational conflict, communication breakdown, infidelity recovery, premarital concerns, blended family challenges, CNM agreements and transitions, polyamorous relationship dynamics, and related presenting concerns.
- Maintain clinical documentation within 24 business hours of each session.
- Participate in team meetings, peer consultation, and ongoing professional development.
- Actively contribute to the development of couples-focused groups, workshops, or intensives.
- Engage in marketing efforts to grow your caseload and build TMWC's visibility as a go-to practice for relationship care in our community.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must hold or be actively working toward an Illinois license in one of the following: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
- Must be eligible for insurance paneling.
- Completion of formal specialized training in at least one evidence-based couples therapy modality is required.
- Acceptable examples include but are not limited to Gottman Method Level 1 or higher, an EFT externship, IBCT training, or a comparable structured couples therapy certification or training program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse relationship structures without bias or judgment.
- Ability to hold space for complex relational dynamics without triangulating or taking sides.
