About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide evidence-based couples and relationship therapy using structured modalities such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), or similar approaches.
Assess and treat relational conflict, communication breakdown, infidelity recovery, premarital concerns, blended family challenges, CNM agreements and transitions, polyamorous relationship dynamics, and related presenting concerns.
Maintain clinical documentation within 24 business hours of each session.
Participate in team meetings, peer consultation, and ongoing professional development.
Actively contribute to the development of couples-focused groups, workshops, or intensives.
Engage in marketing efforts to grow your caseload and build TMWC's visibility as a go-to practice for relationship care in our community.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must hold or be actively working toward an Illinois license in one of the following: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
Must be eligible for insurance paneling.
Completion of formal specialized training in at least one evidence-based couples therapy modality is required.
Acceptable examples include but are not limited to Gottman Method Level 1 or higher, an EFT externship, IBCT training, or a comparable structured couples therapy certification or training program.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse relationship structures without bias or judgment.
Ability to hold space for complex relational dynamics without triangulating or taking sides.
