About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of medical equipment, focusing on sterilizers and anesthesia machines
- Ensure equipment meets necessary safety and performance standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of medical equipment
- Perform biomedical inspections to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
- Train and support clinical staff on proper equipment use
- Manage service records and maintenance documentation
- Provide on-call technical support and perform emergency repairs as needed
- Adhere to national and international medical equipment safety and performance standards
- Travel to various sites for repairs, installations, and routine service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (over 50% of the time)
- Basic technical skills and a keen interest in biomedical equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with medical staff and colleagues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Any certification or hands-on experience with biomedical equipment (e.g., Mindray, GE, Primus, Steris, Getinge, Tuttnauer) is a plus
- Experience with software and hardware integration in medical devices
- Knowledge of current medical device regulations and compliance requirements
