About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor data pipelines, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Power BI data flows
- Promptly resolve issues affecting system and pipeline performance
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries
- Maintain reference tables and data mappings
- Support HIPAA-aligned data handling practices
- Validate records, reconcile data across systems, and delete duplicate files
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into user stories for the development team
- Lead data analysis and requirements writing for new reports and dashboards
- Coordinate QA testing and validation
- Draft PRDs, technical specifications, and structured backlogs
- Implement new IT tools and decommission legacy systems
- Train end users on reporting tools
- Maintain system performance and help development teams resolve issues and fulfill enhancement requests
- Track project timelines, action items, and deliverables
- Maintain SOPs and training materials
- Assist with status reports, meeting summaries, and executive updates
- Prioritize projects according to CIO direction
- Catch and resolve pipeline issues before they affect downstream reporting or leadership visibility
- Ensure reports follow a tracked intake-to-delivery process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with and strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy/security practices
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate
- Demonstrated ability to manage numerous concurrent projects and stakeholder relationships
- Effective written communication skills for producing technical documents and executive-level summaries
- Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute care, or ACO environment would be beneficial but is not required
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, API integration, and/or AI-assisted data analysis/workflow automation tools is preferred
- Experience managing claims data or using Jira or Confluence would be a plus
