About the role

  • Build rapport with Business Development, Project Management, Finance, Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality teams at MDC.
  • Translate inputs from client meetings into tailored budget estimates, statements of work, letters of engagement, and general services agreements.
  • Utilize and improve upon templated budget calculators to build client estimates.
  • Drive delivery of requests for proposals (RFPs) in conjunction with MDC’s internal teams.
  • Work with Business Development and Service teams to develop proposals and deliver them to prospective client.
  • Leverage familiarity with MDC’s service capabilities, especially execution of clinical services projects.
  • Successfully transition closed deals to project teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Ensure records in the company’s CRM are kept current at all times.
  • Perform other duties as company expands and the needs of the organization change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; biology, chemistry, clinical or science related discipline preferred.
  • Master’s degree or higher in science related discipline and/or MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing detailed proposals for clients.
  • Ability to improve upon given templates and gain alignment across teams.
  • Preferred: experience in consulting services and/or manufacturing within in vitro diagnostics, medical devices, and/or pharmaceuticals.
  • Positive team-player with strong desire to "win".
  • Must be a team player with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional team members.
  • Be curious and have a growth mindset.
  • Ability to interpret request for proposals and manage proposal development for clients.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet business goals.
  • Understanding of pricing models and strategies, including gross margins.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working independently.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and project management capabilities.
  • Mastery of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Google Meetup and Zoom.
  • Preferred: Experience with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Preferred: Experience utilizing CRM systems.
  • Preferred: Understanding of IVD product development and stage-gate process; familiarity with U.S. FDA, IVDR, UKCA and/or Health Canada IVD guidelines; clinical trial management; experience using quality management systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% US and international travel.
