About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) support for MD&A Customer projects.
- Complete safety walk-downs or evaluations at other outages or shops.
- Assist with training and other safety projects company-wide.
- Facilitate proper implementation of customer requirements, MD&A Outage Safety Expectations, and the project specific safety plan.
- Coordinate and communicate with customer EHS representation and customer site POC.
- Observe the progression of the project, identify and eliminate hazards.
- Assist with on-boarding project personnel including sub-contractors; facilitate MD&A/Customer drug testing requirements.
- Administer/conduct and record weekly safety evaluation.
- Investigate all incident reports and treat and report any first aids.
- Monitor and authorize confined space entries.
- Conduct safety training for employees when needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in construction safety.
- CHST or the ability to obtain the CHST in the first 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of complicated rigging, scaffolding, confined space entry, mechanical systems, and industrial tooling.
- Prefer exposure too or knowledge of Human and Organization Performance improvement.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
