About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) support for MD&A Customer projects.
  • Complete safety walk-downs or evaluations at other outages or shops.
  • Assist with training and other safety projects company-wide.
  • Facilitate proper implementation of customer requirements, MD&A Outage Safety Expectations, and the project specific safety plan.
  • Coordinate and communicate with customer EHS representation and customer site POC.
  • Observe the progression of the project, identify and eliminate hazards.
  • Assist with on-boarding project personnel including sub-contractors; facilitate MD&A/Customer drug testing requirements.
  • Administer/conduct and record weekly safety evaluation.
  • Investigate all incident reports and treat and report any first aids.
  • Monitor and authorize confined space entries.
  • Conduct safety training for employees when needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in construction safety.
  • CHST or the ability to obtain the CHST in the first 90 days of employment.
  • Knowledge of complicated rigging, scaffolding, confined space entry, mechanical systems, and industrial tooling.
  • Prefer exposure too or knowledge of Human and Organization Performance improvement.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
