About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work collaboratively with Rehab and Pain Management provider teams and clinic staff to provide professional nursing care
- Develop and implement nursing plans of care within scope of license
- Communicate test results, specialized test and treatment scheduling, prescription instructions, and patient education
- Document treatment appropriately in medical records
- Triage patient concerns by telephone and provide nursing advice
- Handle calls regarding appointments, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results
- Coordinate appropriate disposition of patient calls according to clinic protocols
- Complete or review healthcare forms for home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient or physician needs
- Assist with managed care authorization and insurance and medical forms
- Help maintain patient flow and clinic workflow
- Collaborate with clinic staff to provide high-quality, efficient patient service
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
- Current Wisconsin RN License required
- No experience required
- Previous clinic, doctor’s office, or urgent care experience preferred
- Strong leadership, team building, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to set priorities, identify and resolve problems, and delegate effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to assess and triage patients
- Reliability and confidentiality
- Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication
- May occasionally need to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects
- Ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials and stand or walk continuously
