About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work collaboratively with Rehab and Pain Management provider teams and clinic staff to provide professional nursing care
Develop and implement nursing plans of care within scope of license
Communicate test results, specialized test and treatment scheduling, prescription instructions, and patient education
Document treatment appropriately in medical records
Triage patient concerns by telephone and provide nursing advice
Handle calls regarding appointments, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results
Coordinate appropriate disposition of patient calls according to clinic protocols
Complete or review healthcare forms for home health care, referrals, medical equipment, and other patient or physician needs
Assist with managed care authorization and insurance and medical forms
Help maintain patient flow and clinic workflow
Collaborate with clinic staff to provide high-quality, efficient patient service
Maintain patient confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis
Current Wisconsin RN License required
No experience required
Previous clinic, doctor’s office, or urgent care experience preferred
Strong leadership, team building, and decision-making capabilities
Ability to set priorities, identify and resolve problems, and delegate effectively
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to assess and triage patients
Reliability and confidentiality
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication
May occasionally need to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects
Ability to occasionally lift moderate-weight materials and stand or walk continuously
