Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA), Pediatric Anesthesiology – Pain Management
MCWNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant involved in pediatric pain management at Children's Wisconsin. Collaborating in a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide care within the inpatient and outpatient pain management service team.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
- Provide assessment and care coordination with clinical work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Clinical activities include inpatient acute pain consult services and interdisciplinary intake evaluations.
- Outpatient therapy with a focus on cognitive behavioral and family systems approaches, biofeedback, collaboration with schools, group therapy, and care coordination.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous APP pediatric specialty and/or mental health, experience preferred.
- open to new grads or experienced APP’s; experience with pediatric patient and as part of a multidisciplinary care team preferred
- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification Requirements: American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- DEA registration
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
- Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
