Advanced Practice Provider, NP/PA – Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery
MCWAdvanced Practice Provider involved in Orthopaedic care and treatment at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote patient care and safety.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Orthopaedic intervention.
- Writes accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders.
- Orders, performs, and interprets screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information.
- Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
- Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care through participation in developing quality indicators.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- DEA registration
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP)
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP (AGPCNP)
- Family NP (FNP)
- Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
- Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
