About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct briefings and provides regular updates to senior MTA leadership concerning project status and key milestones of the Retail Design & Construction Portfolio.
Supervise a team of project managers that conduct MEP plan review, aesthetics review and ensure code compliance.
Regularly interact with leadership across the agencies (NYCT, LIRR, MNR, AMTRAK) to drive project completion.
Develop and implement optimized tracking and reporting systems that drastically improve the timeliness and accuracy of information to senior MTA leadership.
Facilitate plan reviews (architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, etc.) and coordinate site visits and inspections with multiple stakeholders and approving agencies.
Ensures construction timelines are adhered to and eliminates roadblocks to completion.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years experience in the AEC industry.
Experienced in retail construction management.
Organizational leadership experience; excellent communication, time management, and administration skills.
Experienced in daily interactions (briefings, reports, status updates) with C-Suite executives.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (engineering, architecture).
Prior experience working with MTA preferred.
Familiar with New York State Building Code
PMP, CCM and OSHA-30 are a plus
