Business Development Manager – Federal Markets

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead business development efforts across federal agencies, with a focus on DoD, VA, and other mission-critical clients.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities through market research, client engagement, and strategic networking.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and decision-makers within federal agencies.
- Collaborate with MCFA’s technical teams to shape proposals and solutions that align with client needs.
- Track performance metrics, pipeline development, and win rates—using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent MCFA at industry events, conferences, and federal procurement forums.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in federal business development, sales, or capture management.
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes, including GSA schedules, IDIQs, and RFPs.
- Strong understanding of the AEC industry and federal infrastructure programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capability of the Sales and Capture Management process.
