About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain business development relationships with attorneys in the Health & Life Sciences practice group
- Organize and drive client targeting programs and campaigns
- Identify and facilitate cross-selling opportunities within practice groups
- Monitor industry trends and conduct strategic research
- Serve as primary lead for high-priority affinity groups
- Drive collaboration within BD department and firm teams
- Lead and draft content for RFPs, pitches, and other opportunities
- Oversee strategic planning and execution of Signature McDermott events
- Manage participation in sponsorships, conferences, and memberships
- Guide lateral hires through the integration process
- Manage assigned legal directory submissions
- Consult with attorneys to develop and monitor individual business development goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- At least eight (8) years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Knowledge of client relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
- Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
