About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop technical drawings and documentation for high-end retail fixtures that meet client scope, design intent, and manufacturability requirements
  • Ensure all designs comply with client product standards, industry best practices, and internal processes
  • Produce accurate shop drawings and support documentation to enable complete and timely fabrication and installation
  • Support the production design and development process by resolving technical issues and creating working models
  • Review build partner drawings to ensure alignment with product specifications and installation standards
  • Assist in the creation of mockups, models, and design validation samples from sketches and architectural plans
  • Maintain project documentation, including samples, specification sheets, and design guides
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on material research and manufacturing techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Design engineering experience in metal and wood product manufacturing; retail client experience preferred
  • Experience with prototyping, product testing, and direct collaboration with clients or vendors is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Inventor, Revit, or similar platforms; knowledge of millwork, fixtures, cabinetry, or related industries required
  • Degree in architecture, industrial or engineering design, graphic/creative arts, or a related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts to a non technical audience
  • Ability to problem solve in a collaborative environment
