About the role
- Assist with lighting design, including calculations and energy analysis
- Prepare project lighting drawings and specifications
- Create renderings and presentation materials
- Coordinate work within the Mazzetti team and with other disciplines
- Support sustainability and LEED efforts across projects
- Participate in limited contract administration during construction phases
- Manage tasks, deadlines, and deliverables effectively
- Contribute to diverse projects including healthcare, hospitality, civic, commercial, and residential designs
- Implement sustainable lighting design in all projects
- Occasional in-person participation in professional development and team-building events; travel up to 5%
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
- 2-8 years of experience in the lighting design industry
- 2+ years of experience with Revit, CAD, and/or other BIM program drafting/drawing production experience
- 2+ years of experience in photometric modeling using AGI32, LightStanza, and Dialux (or similar)
- Passionate about innovative and creating lighting design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized, self-starter and independent work ethic
- Interest in sustainable and energy-efficient design
- Preferred: Previous A/E/C building design industry experience
- Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Preferred: Familiarity with daylighting analysis tools such as Rhino-Grasshopper or Lightstanza
- Preferred: Ability to obtain membership in a professional lighting design organization (e.g., IES or IALD)
