About the role
- Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to client needs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community partners as needed
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary
- Facilitate group counseling or educational workshops on topics such as conflict resolution, parenting, and relationship building
- Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities
- Engage in community outreach to promote services and build relationships with referral sources
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Active Illinois licensure (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, or equivalent)
- 2–3 years of direct counseling experience in family or marriage therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, EFT, or Solution-Focused Therapy)
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications
