About the role

  • Attend meetings and events to represent the organization and connect with community members
  • Network with community leaders and attend local meetings, town halls, and community festivals
  • Listen to community members’ concerns and feedback and communicate them to appropriate departments
  • Develop and execute community outreach strategies and outreach programs tailored to target audiences
  • Establish partnerships with local organizations and community leaders and organize events and workshops
  • Monitor and evaluate outreach efforts, report on activities and outcomes, and make adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure community feedback is addressed appropriately
  • Update event bulletin on social media, create and schedule engaging content, respond to inquiries, and monitor interactions

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working within a community in some capacity (Required)
  • Skilled communicator comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Active listening skills and ability to provide feedback to confirm understanding
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across different levels of an organization
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies for community engagement
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms
