About the role
- Attend meetings and events to represent the organization and connect with community members
- Network with community leaders and attend local meetings, town halls, and community festivals
- Listen to community members’ concerns and feedback and communicate them to appropriate departments
- Develop and execute community outreach strategies and outreach programs tailored to target audiences
- Establish partnerships with local organizations and community leaders and organize events and workshops
- Monitor and evaluate outreach efforts, report on activities and outcomes, and make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure community feedback is addressed appropriately
- Update event bulletin on social media, create and schedule engaging content, respond to inquiries, and monitor interactions
Requirements
- Relevant experience working within a community in some capacity (Required)
- Skilled communicator comfortable with public speaking
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active listening skills and ability to provide feedback to confirm understanding
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across different levels of an organization
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies for community engagement
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms
