About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for setting the strategic design for web-based applications
Build a diverse range of user experiences and interfaces for client-funded projects
Collaborate with software development teams on product roadmaps
Establish and implement research methodologies that drive design decisions
Support engineers in implementing designs
Meet regularly with clients to develop user empathy and collect requirements
Facilitate design critiques and participate in product meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active/current TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in a related field, e.g. UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, etc.
2+ years of UX/UI experience
Must present a strong (and preferably diverse) design portfolio!
Knowledge and applied use of Design Thinking principles
Recent experience with Figma/FigJam as well as some of the following technologies: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InVision, Procreate
Experience with Human-Centered Design approaches is a plus
Web-based product design experience is a plus
Experience with Graphic Design/Identity/Logo/Branding is a plus
Experience mentoring junior staff or interns is a plus
5 years experience is a plus
