About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments
Create and enhance Bash scripts to automate system administration, application log gathering, metrics displays
Develop and maintain job orchestration tools for data flows
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Kibana
Support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search optimization activities
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and mission stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions
Assist with log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational reporting
Document automation processes, procedures, and technical configurations
Participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring, observability, and automation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Security+ Certification
2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, software development or related technical roles
Experience working with Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar)
Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system administration tasks
Experience with the ELK Stack, including: Elasticsearch, Kibana dashboard development, Logstash or data ingestion pipelines
Familiarity with system monitoring, log aggregation, and operational analytics
Understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and troubleshooting methodologies
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
