Mobile Diesel Technician
Matthews MotorsMobile Diesel Technician performing on-site diagnostics and repairs for diesel trucks and equipment. Working independently with a fully stocked service truck in the field.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Handle breakdowns, service calls, and scheduled work at customer locations
- Work on engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, emissions systems, and more
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to complete jobs efficiently
- Document work accurately via our service system
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- ASE Diesel Certification advantageous.
- Valid driver's license.
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
- Great diagnostic skills.
- Physically able to lift up to 75+ pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
- Maintaining a parts inventory.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
