About the role
- Lead critical initiatives including cloud scalability and smarter-insights projects to deliver incremental business outcomes.
- Establish and sustainably scale the European engineering hub and recruit, mentor, and develop engineering team.
- Develop and articulate technical roadmap addressing enterprise scalability, UI modernisation, API-driven architecture improvements, and privacy-compliant AI integration.
- Collaborate with Head of Engineering & Product, CTO, CEO, customers, partners, developer community, and internal teams.
- Refine developer engagement and policy to optimise adoption and revenue generation.
- Provide guidance on design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure (on-premises and/or cloud).
- Identify automation opportunities for deployments, configuration management, and optimise resource usage and costs.
- Provide guidance for monitoring, logging, alerting, on-call processes, SLAs, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation.
- Embed security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines, improve security testing automation, and integrate DevSecOps tools.
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience in Software Engineering and incremental software architecture transformation.
- Demonstrated success in significantly reducing operational costs and boosting engineering productivity.
- Proven track record managing and scaling high-performance engineering teams in globally recognised tech-driven enterprises.
- Solid experience leveraging open-source software strategically.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
