About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in and contribute to teamwork within the organization
  • Schedule closings and prepare closing documents for Residential Mortgages
  • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory guidelines, bank policy, and standards
  • Review loans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with loan policies, manuals, secondary market guides, and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize the automated underwriting system and Loan Product Advisor; resubmit loans as outlined in the MB Origination manual
  • Collaborate with underwriting, lenders, lender assistants, and third-party vendors to resolve issues
  • Review pending-loan reports and follow up timely on outstanding tracking items
  • Track conditions in the loan origination system and review received documentation against guidelines
  • Assist coworkers and interact with customers, loan processing, realtors, attorneys, insurance agents, and other third parties throughout closing
  • Maintain Closing/Post Closing procedure manuals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve closing and quality-control issues with settlement agents, customers, realtors, loan servicing, secondary market, and closing staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of lending or job-related experience or two years of overall banking experience
  • Working knowledge of computers and strong typing skills
  • Good with numbers
  • Clear, articulate voice on the phone and in person
  • Strong writing skills and clear presentation abilities
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Capable of working independently and displaying initiative
  • Flexibility and ability to set priorities
  • Ability to get along with co-workers and superiors
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional appearance, grooming, and dress consistent with MB appearance policy
  • Thorough knowledge of regulations and procedures specific to settlement of Residential Real Estate Transactions, including TRID, rescission, Secondary Market, Flood, and escrow
  • Ability to complete required background and credit screenings
