Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and Configure Network Switches (Aruba, HP, Cisco)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switch installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Aruba, HP, and Cisco switches, including CLI-based configuration (VLAN, STP, LACP, trunk/access ports, port security, etc.).
  • Ability to perform switch provisioning, firmware upgrades, and advanced configuration tasks via command line interfaces (SSH/console).
  • Experience working with fiber cabling, including terminating, connecting, and troubleshooting fiber links between switches and patch panels (LC/SC connectors, SFP/SFP+ modules).
  • Experience with network firewalls and basic routing concepts.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of IDF installation, structured cabling standards, labeling, and cable‑management best practices.
  • Understanding of network security principles, including 802.1X, NAC, and access control policies.
  • Ability to work with SSO technologies (Okta) and multi-factor authentication (2FA) solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills for network topology, patching, fiber mapping, and switch configurations.
  • Resourceful, with strong problem‑solving abilities and the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of relevant network administration experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco, Aruba Certified Switching Associate, or equivalent are highly preferred.
