Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
Strong expertise in LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switch installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with Aruba, HP, and Cisco switches, including CLI-based configuration (VLAN, STP, LACP, trunk/access ports, port security, etc.).
Ability to perform switch provisioning, firmware upgrades, and advanced configuration tasks via command line interfaces (SSH/console).
Experience working with fiber cabling, including terminating, connecting, and troubleshooting fiber links between switches and patch panels (LC/SC connectors, SFP/SFP+ modules).
Experience with network firewalls and basic routing concepts.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of IDF installation, structured cabling standards, labeling, and cable‑management best practices.
Understanding of network security principles, including 802.1X, NAC, and access control policies.
Ability to work with SSO technologies (Okta) and multi-factor authentication (2FA) solutions.
Strong documentation skills for network topology, patching, fiber mapping, and switch configurations.
Resourceful, with strong problem‑solving abilities and the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of relevant network administration experience.
Professional certifications such as Cisco, Aruba Certified Switching Associate, or equivalent are highly preferred.
