About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and Configure Network Switches (Aruba, HP, Cisco)
- Monitor and Maintain Network Switch Performance
- Assist with Switch Configuration and Upgrades
- Manage IDF Installations and Cable Organization
- Troubleshoot technical issues with escalated tickets
- Configure and Maintain Network Protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP)
- Firewall Support and Basic Routing Configuration
- Document Network Configurations and Topology

Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switch installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Aruba, HP, and Cisco switches, including CLI-based configuration (VLAN, STP, LACP, trunk/access ports, port security, etc.).
- Ability to perform switch provisioning, firmware upgrades, and advanced configuration tasks via command line interfaces (SSH/console).
- Experience working with fiber cabling, including terminating, connecting, and troubleshooting fiber links between switches and patch panels (LC/SC connectors, SFP/SFP+ modules).
- Experience with network firewalls and basic routing concepts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of IDF installation, structured cabling standards, labeling, and cable‑management best practices.
- Understanding of network security principles, including 802.1X, NAC, and access control policies.
- Ability to work with SSO technologies (Okta) and multi-factor authentication (2FA) solutions.
- Strong documentation skills for network topology, patching, fiber mapping, and switch configurations.
- Resourceful, with strong problem‑solving abilities and the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of relevant network administration experience.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco, Aruba Certified Switching Associate, or equivalent are highly preferred.
