About the role

  • Develop and maintain the data infrastructure that supports analytics engineering capabilities.
  • Document, automate and maintain data cleaning and transformation processes, ensuring data governance and security.
  • Assess where APIs are unavailable; design alternate extraction or manual workflows to obtain retailer data.
  • Define business-ready metrics and KPIs; ensure consistency across monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Pull, validate, and blend brand, retailer, and media data into reporting datasets; troubleshoot data gaps and quality issues.
  • Produce and deliver the monthly commerce report, quarterly executive report, and ad-hoc insight decks for TCCC.
  • Translate data findings into concise insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data access questions and align on credentials with stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering to define required data sources, schema, and capture methods for commerce reporting.
  • Build and maintain an inventory of retailer platforms including API endpoints, documentation, sample code, and credentials.
  • Track reporting deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations, and escalate blockers early.
  • Support MMM data preparation and leverage MMM outputs to drive budget planning and investment recommendations.
  • Build audiences in clean rooms like AMC and Walmart Clean Room for targeting and measurement.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of deep commerce or retail media analytics experience, with proven ownership of end-to-end reporting pipelines.
  • Strong SQL or Python for data prep, plus familiarity with API integrations and authentication flows.
  • Ability to translate technical data processes into clear business insights.
  • Comfort liaising between technical engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Applied data science skills – regression, time-series, marketing mix modeling, and other statistical techniques.
  • Experience preparing data for MMM and leveraging MMM outputs to drive budget planning and investment recommendations.
  • Experience building audiences in clean rooms like AMC, Walmart Clean Room for targeting and measurement.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of Mars United Commerce's Toronto office.
