Purchasing Officer
Marley SpoonPurchasing Officer overseeing purchasing and planning for fresh produce and Ready-to-Heat categories. Collaborating with Sourcing team for optimal purchasing decisions and supplier management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end purchasing, planning, and PO execution across allocated categories
- Translate demand requirements into accurate and timely ordering decisions across FCs
- Partner closely with Sourcing to align supplier capability, availability, and commercial outcomes
- Monitor and manage inventory, service levels, and waste performance
- Drive ordering discipline, cadence, and continuous improvement
- Identify risks and implement proactive supply and inventory actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing or planning
- Experience in fresh produce, ready-to-heat, or other perishable / short shelf-life categories highly regarded
- Strong commercial judgement balancing cost, availability, and waste
- Confident stakeholder management across suppliers and internal teams
- Data-driven with strong attention to detail.
