About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications and backend services
Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures
Support modernization efforts for data processing services and mission applications
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop and implement new capabilities
Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system problems
Develop and maintain technical documentation and software artifacts
Support software integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and software development best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of software engineering experience
Experience developing Java applications and backend services
Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and web services
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience using Git for source code management
Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
Experience using IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse IDE
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities and mission requirements
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
