About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage project design and/or construction efforts, including schedules, funding, and day-to-day oversight
- Manage and evaluate construction contractor performance
- Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel and stakeholders
- Evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests
- Provide official weekly project status reports
- Prepare and distribute project communications to customers, management, project teams, and stakeholders
- Assist the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration
- Support pre-bid and pre-construction site visits
- Provide invoice support documentation for payment processing
- Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets
- Provide technical guidance on contracting and construction-related issues
- Direct design efforts and recommend construction documents for approval
- Oversee follow-on maintenance programs as required
- Optimize project cost, schedule, and performance to meet mission requirements
- Conduct design reviews with customers
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation entry into MAXIMO project management software
- Ensure integration of IT, telecommunications, security, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, generator, and tertiary systems
- Prepare Contractor Performance Reports (CPRs) at project closeout
- Support compound master planning activities, including prioritization, schedule alignment with funding, and cost estimate development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active TS/SCI FSP required
- Bachelor’s degree in any field; or high school, vocational school, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities project management
- Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Project or similar project management software
- Strong construction management experience
- Strong Statement of Work (SOW) writing skills
- Ability to review construction drawings and specifications and identify design or construction issues
- Working knowledge of generators, tertiary systems, and electrical circuits
- Experience developing project schedules, cost estimates, and budget planning documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
