About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate, design, develop, test, and oversee the procurement, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of electrical components in medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for electrical infrastructure across mission-critical facilities.
- Identify operational and security gaps in electrical systems that may impact mission-critical operations.
- Develop master plans and mitigation strategies to improve resiliency and reduce operational risk.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and government partners to install, repair, commission, and maintain electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices through technical analysis and specification development.
- Perform electrical system calculations and develop technical specifications and engineering documentation.
- Develop and implement maintenance and testing procedures for electrical and electronic components.
- Support coordination with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on infrastructure modernization projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience supporting medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, infrastructure management, or power engineering.
- Experience designing or assessing electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including generator and battery backup systems.
- Experience working with SCADA systems, power metering, and electrical automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards.
- Proficiency with engineering design and calculation software.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
