About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up a dive station and ensure all equipment is functioning as designed
  • Complete required daily safety sheets and participate in daily safety meetings
  • Follow health and safety procedures related to the work
  • Perform underwater inspections and construction
  • Execute underwater and topside tasks, repairs, and associated commercial diving services
  • Perform basic construction work including concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabricating
  • Understand project scope and associated tasks
  • Execute line pulls, rigging, and crane signals
  • Demonstrate proper rigging techniques
  • Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations
  • Perform shop and equipment maintenance as needed
  • Maintain current industry knowledge through professional organizations and other activities
  • Work overtime and outside normal working hours when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card
  • 3+ years of experience required
  • Current Blood Borne Pathogens certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current DAN O2 Administration certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Basic construction skills including concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabricating
  • Ability to understand line pull, rigging, and crane signals
  • Ability to demonstrate proper rigging techniques
  • Ability to work in rugged conditions and adverse weather
  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Ability and availability to work overtime and outside normal working hours
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preferred: 10hr OSHA General Construction Course
  • Preferred: 30hr OSHA Construction Course
  • Preferred: Certified Welder
  • Preferred: Mechanic background
