About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set up dive stations and ensure all equipment is functioning as designed
Provide commercial diving services, including underwater inspections and construction
Perform associated topside work
Complete shop and equipment maintenance as needed
Complete daily safety sheets and participate in daily safety meetings
Follow health and safety procedures
Understand project scope and associated tasks
Perform rigging and respond to crane signals
Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations
Work in marine construction and commercial diving operations supporting bridge and waterfront infrastructure projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card
3+ years of experience required
Current Blood Borne Pathogens certification
Current First Aid certification
Current CPR certification
Current DAN O2 Administration certification
Valid driver’s license
Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills
Basic construction skills, including concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabricating
Understanding of line pull, rigging, and crane signals
Ability to demonstrate proper rigging techniques
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Ability to work in rugged conditions and adverse weather
Ability and availability to work overtime and outside normal working hours
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred: 10-hour OSHA General Construction Course
Preferred: 30-hour OSHA Construction Course
Preferred: Certified Welder
Preferred: Mechanic background
