About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform structural engineering computations using conventional structural engineering design software, codes, procedures, practices, and standards
Prepare structural engineering documents including calculations, specifications, and project documentation
Develop written reports and/or provide verbal communication of information in a professional and appropriate manner
Collaborate structural engineering work with other project participants and assist senior engineers
Actively participate in project meetings and work to actively resolve project issues
Identify, creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to collaborate with in-person and remote teams
Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively
Familiarity with structural analysis and drafting software (i.e. STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.)
Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil, with a focus in structural engineering from an accredited four-year university
0 - 4 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Preferred - experience in designing bridges, marine waterfronts, industrial structures, and temporary construction works, including demolition plans, erection plans, shoring, cofferdams, and concrete formwork.
