About the role
- Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer
- Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer
- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer
- Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer
- Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues
- Actively promotes a safe work culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university
- 0-4 years of engineering experience
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- ADCI Commercial Diver
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in area of practice
- Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and office software and equipment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
