About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supports the Company's environmental compliance programs
  • Conducts regulatory-required monthly Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) inspections across Permian Compression facilities
  • Supports leak rechecks to ensure full Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) compliance
  • Provides technical expertise and regulatory guidance to operations and management
  • Investigates environmental issues and identifies opportunities for compliance improvement
  • Develops corrective actions to prevent recurrence of environmental incidents
  • Advises appropriate managers and supervisors of the Company's goals and requirements
  • Monitors compliance and directs related reports
  • Designs and/or reviews engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment or systems
  • Develops environmental information, manuals, training material and programs
  • Represents the Company with appropriate trade associations, industry work groups and regulatory agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g. refining, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industrial)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a HES related field with no relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with no relevant experience
  • Conceptual knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory framework
  • Valid driver's license required
  • OGI and LDAR experience preferred
