About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conducts trade surveillance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks
  • Maintains updates to desk procedures
  • Researches and supports the implementation of new policies, procedures resulting from internal review or regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Performs daily trade surveillance and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Assists with planning of compliance training for the front and back office.
  • Manages exchange, clearing, and brokerage accounts for derivatives.
  • Provides guidance to the front office regarding policy and regulatory implications.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
  • Seven (7) years of risk assessment experience in energy trading, banking, or capital markets required.
  • Power BI and interpretation of large data sets preferred.
  • Holistic understanding of commodity transaction flows and functional requirements preferred.
