About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide project management and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering support for refinery process operations
  • Manage multiple small capital and expense projects concurrently, typically ranging from $20,000 to $5,000,000
  • Apply project management skills in all phases of project engineering: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up from conception to closeout
  • Define scope, develop cost estimates and schedules, and secure funding approval from management for small capital and expense projects
  • Prepare Decision Support Packages (DSP’s) and present to leadership
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution
  • Engage in area HAZOP and LOPA reviews and incident investigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post degree engineering experience in the refining or petrochemical industry is preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Familiarity with Smart Instrumentation (SI ) and electrical analysis software is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic refining environment
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential job functions including wearing all required PPE, working at elevated heights, confined space entry, fall protection, and respirator usage
