About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interprets and/or develops Company environmental policies and guidelines
- Develops methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance
- Advises appropriate managers and supervisors of the Company's goals and requirements
- Provides guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures
- Monitors compliance with these policies in assigned areas
- Designs and/or reviews engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment or systems
- Identifies and investigates current and developing environmental problems or issues
- Keeps abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and international standards
- Develops/assists with legislative and regulatory impact assessment
- Maintains a working knowledge of issues and key industry contacts
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required with 10 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g. refining, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industrial) OR Bachelor’s degree in a HES-related field with 5 years of relevant environmental experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant environmental experience
- Ability to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
- Ability to develop business acumen and technical knowledge
- A valid driver's license is required
