About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interprets and/or develops Company environmental policies and guidelines
Develops methods and procedures for implementing and assuring conformance
Advises appropriate managers and supervisors of the Company's goals and requirements
Provides guidance and technical assistance in organizing and establishing programs and procedures
Monitors compliance with these policies in assigned areas
Designs and/or reviews engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment or systems
Identifies and investigates current and developing environmental problems or issues
Keeps abreast of environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and international standards
Develops/assists with legislative and regulatory impact assessment
Maintains a working knowledge of issues and key industry contacts

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED required with 10 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g. refining, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industrial) OR Bachelor’s degree in a HES-related field with 5 years of relevant environmental experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant environmental experience
Ability to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
Ability to develop business acumen and technical knowledge
A valid driver's license is required
