About the role
- Mantel is developing the first molten-salt-based carbon capture technology designed to operate at high temperatures in boilers, kilns, and furnaces.
- Lead engineering team building, hiring, training, and mentoring engineers.
- Initiate and lead engineering projects to develop new carbon capture systems and processes.
- Set project budgets and timelines and track project progress with reports for leadership.
- Support engineers in testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup of prototype and industrial process equipment.
- Collaborate with EPCs, contractors, OEMs, internal project development, partner site engineers, and external partners to ensure successful project execution and system integration.
- Optimize engineering processes and system performance for scalability.
- Provide critical decision making to avoid impasses.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership position.;Experience in hiring, training, and managing engineering teams in a high-tech or industrial environment.;Experience in collaborating with EPCs, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.;Experience with construction, commissioning, and startup of industrial process equipment.;Desired: Experience with high-temperature processes, molten salts, metals, or fluids.;Desired: PMP certified or comparable leadership training;Desired: Degree in core engineering field such as mechanical, process, and/or I&C
