About the role

  • As a Trainee Operating Room Assistant (OTA), you prepare surgical procedures and care for patients before and after operations.
  • During surgical procedures you are in the front line: you assist the operating surgeons and hand them the requested instruments and materials.

Requirements

  • Secondary school leaving certificate (Mittelschulabschluss) or intermediate school certificate (Mittlere Reife), or a lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) with completed vocational training of at least two years, or qualification as a nursing assistant.
  • Medical fitness and ability to handle physical demands.
  • Reliability, a strong sense of responsibility, and manual dexterity.
  • Flexibility.
  • Ability to work in a team and social competence.
  • Mental and physical resilience.
