About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop & implement sourcing strategies for purchased parts
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers
- Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, select and develop suppliers
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers
- Develop and manage a competitive supplier base
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Work closely with pre-development, engineering, operations, finance, and other departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ track record in Strategic Procurement and/or leadership function in a division
- Previous experience with assigned categories preferred
- Experience with regional/global sourcing and supplier management
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and its specific requirements
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing strategies
- Strong negotiation, communication and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office
