About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The IT Business Analyst – Operations acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to improve manufacturing processes through technology.
  • This role focuses on analyzing production workflows, identifying system enhancements, and supporting the implementation of digital solutions (e.g., ERP, MES) to increase efficiency, quality, and operational visibility.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to understand process needs
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT solutions
  • Support implementation and optimization of systems such as ERP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and SCM tools
  • Analyze current workflows (production planning, inventory, quality control) and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in system configuration, testing (UAT), and deployment activities
  • Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and integration across systems
  • Work with IT teams and vendors to resolve system issues and implement enhancements
  • Create process documentation, user manuals, and training materials
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives
  • Monitor KPIs and reporting tools to support operational decision-making

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (production, inventory, supply chain)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., process mapping, requirements gathering)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with MES, WMS, or industrial automation systems (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL, Excel advanced) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices (preferred)
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) (preferred)
