About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The IT Business Analyst – Operations acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to improve manufacturing processes through technology.
- This role focuses on analyzing production workflows, identifying system enhancements, and supporting the implementation of digital solutions (e.g., ERP, MES) to increase efficiency, quality, and operational visibility.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to understand process needs
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT solutions
- Support implementation and optimization of systems such as ERP, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and SCM tools
- Analyze current workflows (production planning, inventory, quality control) and identify improvement opportunities
- Participate in system configuration, testing (UAT), and deployment activities
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and integration across systems
- Work with IT teams and vendors to resolve system issues and implement enhancements
- Create process documentation, user manuals, and training materials
- Support change management and user adoption initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and reporting tools to support operational decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (production, inventory, supply chain)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., process mapping, requirements gathering)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with MES, WMS, or industrial automation systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL, Excel advanced) (preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices (preferred)
- Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) (preferred)
