About the role
- Oversee the co-ordinated update of Group policies and procedures and identify where management changes are required - working with functions to design and implement new standards, systems and procedures - and ensure these are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
- Work with the Science and Research Senior Leadership Team and their functions to ensure successful delivery of the Group’s strategic and operational priorities, and support the reporting and escalation where delivery is at risk.
- Support the Deputy Director of HSQA to manage Business Continuity processes for Science and Research, working with other stakeholders on the wider site plans, and ensuring S&R Function plans are in place and maintained to be up to date.
- Manage the governance and secretariat arrangements for the Senior Leadership Team and key internal / external meetings, ensuring accurate record-keeping and tracking of actions to completion.
Requirements
- Excellent presentation and communication/influencing skills with the ability to concisely communicate information to different audiences to enable successful delivery through others.
- Degree or equivalent qualification / experience. (Science or Life Science would be an advantage)
- Substantial programme / project management experience with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise extensive demands.
- Evidence of this from a scientific perspective would be an advantage.
- Excellent writing is required for preparing briefing, independently writing formal reports, gathering information across a range of stakeholders and providing information on complex / technical matters.
- Recognised programme / project management qualification and advantage.
- Method of assessment: A=Application, T=Test, I=Interview, P=Presentation.
