About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage the Idea to Implementation (I2I) readiness framework as a product manager and engagement manager
- Lead I2I product management, including product vision, strategy, roadmap, customer research, and continuous improvement
- Drive product delivery through vendor management and partner engagement
- Design and maintain measurement strategies for adoption, utilization, customer satisfaction, and value realization
- Lead stakeholder engagement with senior leaders, business partners, and delivery teams
- Define and enforce standards, processes, and ways of working
- Drive adoption through change management, enablement, measurement, and influence
- Lead I2I customer management and enterprise delivery
- Build customer forecasts and scope engagements using a consultative approach
- Align supporting resources, establish roles and responsibilities, monitor performance, and resolve blockers
- Address engagement issues and implement approved risk-mitigation actions and workarounds
- Build team cohesiveness through leading, mentoring, training, and motivating
- Maintain compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards
- Identify risk-related issues requiring escalation
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- Exercise managerial authority over staffing, appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management, and terminations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years’ proven project management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 12 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 8 years’ proven project management experience
- Computer and software proficiency
- Strong knowledge of product management methodology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, influence, and consensus-building
- Experience communicating initiative status to executive management
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints
- Ability to function professionally with clients, leadership, and peers
- Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external business partner relationships
- Ability to build mutual trust and encourage respect
- Openness to diverse points of view
- Vendor team supervisory/managerial responsibility
- Ability to work onsite four days per week at a designated M&T Bank regional office
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of an eligible regional office
