About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead estate settlement from start to finish: identify/marshal assets, review legal documents, review income and estate tax returns, review accounting, and oversee distributions
- Coordinate with outside counsel, ensuring legal documents are completed accurately
- Partner with accountants, appraisers, and internal teams
- Serve as primary contact for beneficiaries and external partners
- Collaboration with Trust Officers on interim trust administration
- Ensure compliance, risk management, and fee oversight
- Mentor junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ estate and trust settlement administrative experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ estate and trust settlement administrative experience
- Background from banks, law firms, or fiduciary environments preferred
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- JD or advanced credentials a plus
