Key responsibilities & impact

Reviews loan applications to assess qualification and restructures or recommends solutions
Responsible for clearing conditions on residential mortgage loan products
Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties
Work with various internal departments as well as external organizations
Immediately notifies all necessary parties of irregularities
Monitor, update and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation
Support the origination department with administrative duties
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates Degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
4+ years prior mortgage processing or underwriting experience
Good PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Email Platform and Adobe
Proficient with all Retail Requirements, including all state specifics
Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided
Knowledge of Product, Investor and Compliance Requirements
Strong analytical/mathematical background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to multitask
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong work ethic, reliable and dependable.
