About the role
- Lead a team of 4–6 Product Owners, providing coaching, performance management, and strategic direction
- Own and evolve the product vision for Consumer Product Capability Delivery, aligning with enterprise goals and customer needs
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of software capabilities, including branch equipment, ATM experience, and data/sales enablement
- Drive technology modernization, guiding teams through renovation initiatives and agile transformation
- Facilitate quarterly product planning, agile ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration with risk, analytics, finance, marketing, and distribution strategy
- Engage with senior-level stakeholders (SVP and above) to communicate product strategy, value, and prioritization decisions
- Champion design thinking, customer feedback, and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable outcomes
- Manage financial forecasting, reporting, and resource advocacy for product delivery
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusive leadership
- Deliver exceptional employee and customer experiences through agile software development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years’ business, analytical, technical and/or product experience
- 3+ years of people leadership experience (preferred)
- Master Agile Practitioner with deep experience in agile frameworks and delivery (preferred)
- Proven success managing large software portfolios and leading technology renovation programs (preferred)
- Strong negotiation and influence skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience (3+ years) in people management and agile team enablement (preferred)
- Background in software delivery lifecycle from programs to initiatives and projects
- Experience in innovation, product mechanics, and enterprise-level stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate strategy, value, and prioritization across diverse audiences
- Experience in agile coaching and product delivery best practices
- Familiarity with design thinking and customer experience strategy
- Strong understanding of digital capabilities and modernization efforts
- Background in financial services or enterprise software environments (preferred)

- Willingness to travel at least once per quarter within M&T Bank east coast footprint
