About the role
- Produce electric distribution field designs and staking of distribution facilities.
- Project estimation and preparation of construction prints using electronic design/estimation software.
- Ability to represent self professionally while meeting with property owners, other engineering firms, and construction resources.
- Stay abreast with changing technologies, work planning, and design methodologies associated with Electric Distribution Design.
- Mentor and/or train others staff members to transfer personal design knowledge.
- Perform distribution line design calculations for structure loading, guying, and geometric angle calculations.
- Use surveying equipment and gather geospatial points.
Requirements
- Six (6) years prior experience with electric distribution design and estimation.
- Strong background in both overhead and underground electric distribution line design, standards of construction and design guidelines.
- Must possess a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Possess a current Texas Drivers License with an insurable driving record.
