About the role

  • You enjoy direct customer contact, like being on the road, and want to make an impact through personal commitment?
  • You open up new business areas with your sales talent and secure additional clients.
  • You proactively contact potential customers and acquire leads in the core segments of the events industry — including associations, event and trade fair agencies, congress organisers (PCOs) and companies from the healthcare and industrial sectors.
  • You maintain and continuously expand existing customer relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • You are responsible for new customer acquisition for both the in-house sales business and the PCO and event agency divisions.
  • You plan and execute client events, develop new acquisition formats and handle trade fair activities including planning, on-site support and follow-up.
  • You organise your field appointments independently and take responsibility for your sales territory.
  • You report quarterly on your acquisition activities and lead generation to the department head and/or management.
  • You conduct conversations with empathy and tact, adapt your style flexibly and know when a formal, conservative approach is required and when a moment of humour builds trust.
  • You prepare proposals, coordinate projects and develop strategies to provide optimal customer care.
  • You actively contribute to the further development of our service areas.

Requirements

  • You have several years of professional experience in sales, preferably in the events or service industry.
  • You hold a degree in Event Management or a comparable commercial, industry-specific or business administration qualification.
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills, negotiation ability and a confident presence.
  • You are enthusiastic about events and bring a good network in relevant industries.
  • You are flexible, resilient and enjoy continuously improving our services — combined with a strong customer- and service-orientation.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with pharmaceutical codes (e.g., FSA, HWG).
  • You work in a structured and independent manner but are also a true team player.
  • You have a very good command of English, spoken and written.
  • You have a good understanding of cost management, budget administration and financial controlling.
Benefits
  • You will become part of a committed team at an established congress and event agency as well as the CongressCenter Rosengarten.
  • You will work on varied projects with national and international clients.
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and actively shape the development of our services.
  • You will benefit from flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes and an open, appreciative working environment.
  • You can rely on a modern working environment and flexible planning of your field appointments.
