About the role

  • You are part of our purchasing team and responsible for your own product assortment area
  • As part of the team, you work at the interface with Online Category Management, Marketing (social media, content & campaigns, photo studio) and Logistics
  • You develop our assortment to ensure online success
  • Plan attractive assortments for our online shops and implement purchasing decisions
  • Prepare, support and conduct terms and conditions negotiations with the industry's best-known suppliers
  • Monitor market and competitor activity and perform performance analyses
  • Develop products for our attractive private-label brands
  • Maintain product content so your products perform well in the online shop
  • Select products and themed ranges for newsletters and promotional campaigns

Requirements

  • Quick learner
  • Assertiveness, ambition and strong communication skills
  • Negotiation-level German and fluent English
  • Confident, resilient personality
  • Willingness to travel
  • University degree or commercial/vocational training in a retail company (ideally with the additional qualification “Handelsfachwirt”)
  • Initial professional experience in purchasing / working in a retail company
  • Motivation to prove yourself at one of Germany’s largest retail houses
