About the role

  • Planning, implementation and administration of traditional Microsoft systems (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange)
  • Deployment, operation and management of Microsoft cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Entra)
  • Software distribution and packaging
  • Maintenance and support of VDI environments
  • Analysis and evaluation of performance and error logs
  • Performing system upgrades and migrations
  • Assisting end-user support when required
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation as well as operational and maintenance processes
  • Implementing and managing security measures to protect the IT infrastructure
  • Working in Modern Workplace Management (e.g., Intune, SCCM, Baramundi)

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training or degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in administering Microsoft systems
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange; additional skills are an advantage
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style and a confident demeanour — also in demanding situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ideally certified in IT operations, preferably with ITIL v4
  • Microsoft certifications desirable (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate)
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructures (e.g., Omnissa, Windows 365)
  • Knowledge in IT security, in particular system hardening according to CIS or BSI
