About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Development and configuration of integration scenarios on the SAP BTP Integration Suite (iFlow, API Management)
Implementation using RAP, ABAP CDS and Fiori Elements where required by the integration
Connecting SAP backends (S/4HANA, on-premise and cloud) to our microservice architecture via OData, RFC and BAPI
Designing and implementing data transformations, event scenarios (Event Mesh) and API layers
Analyzing, debugging and optimizing integration issues in complex SAP landscapes
Technical documentation: ADRs, interface specifications, interface catalogs
Close collaboration with architects and our Go backend developers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant project experience with S/4HANA, SAP BTP or integrations
Solid knowledge of the SAP BTP Integration Suite: iFlow, API Business Hub, Cloud Connector, Event Mesh
Understanding of programming models and extension options in S/4HANA (RAP, CDS, Clean Core)
Experience with OData v2/v4, RFC, BAPI, IDoc – integrating SAP and non‑SAP systems
ABAP knowledge: reading, understanding and debugging — active ABAP development is not the main focus
Knowledge of authentication and authorization in the BTP environment (OAuth 2.0, SAML, principal propagation)
Experience in the energy sector or other regulated industries is a strong plus
Nice-to-have: knowledge of CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
Experience with SAP AI tools such as SAP Joule in daily development work
Knowledge of SAP IS‑U
Basic knowledge of modern backend technologies (Go, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js) to bridge to the non‑SAP side
